Humble Beginnings
Im writing this for no purpose then for my daughter Aurora Ezabella Kamelemakamaiokapuuwai Hawkins Mahaulu Joseph. I want her to know where her daddy came from, the obstacles in his path, and how he crushed them.
To save those that dont know me personally a very long story, i was born to a poor but proud family. The ones that were wealthy or successful usually did so through means of brute force and violence, drug dealing and murders. I thankfully, had a very intelligent person in my life, my grandfather. Knowing what that kind of lifestyle being like that brings, decided to keep his direct family away from those things. He and my grandmother had 4 children, one boy and three girls. Im the only child from there youngest child, my mom.
I was brought up the good ole’ fashioned way, with basically three basic rules. Never lie, cheat, or steal. For the most part, i was a good happy go lucky kid, who always was very intelligent, and always good. I excelled in school, and never ever had any difficulty’s, in fact i faced countless times of helping other students with there work. I graduated in 2004 with high expectations but i decided to take the easy route.
My real struggle is one that not many of the people who know me know about.I decided to opt out of college, and follow the roots of the things that my family did before me. I really dont want to discuss everything i did, but i have seen and experienced alot of things. Made alot of money, Spent it all. Found friends, lost friends to the street and the system. Lost everything. Now its time for my life to change. This is a document to this change. “Turning Around”
First Business - A Learning Experience
Nearing the end of 2009 i decided put into work, something i always wanted to do, open a business. I Started off by learning the things needed to have a business open. I found that all you basically need is a business license, for tax purposes. Long story short, i got all the necessary paper work to go into a business. What i chose was xbox repair. At the time, there was virtually no competition, and no other shops doing / offering the same quality repairs i preformed. I spent 275 dollars on a machine called a Ayoue 968. This machine does BGA reflows to chips on the motherboard of most electronics allowing you to repair the soldiers or switch the chips out. I had prior knowledge of doing this through the long workings of electronics. I worked hard with other professionals who did the same things.
At the end of this business venture, i profited 98% in the year and a half i was open. What i really learned is how to deal with customers and how to manage my assets better. Now that i want to open another business, i feel like i have the basic skills and knowledge to do what i always dreamed of…. Being successful.
New Year, No Resolutions.
I am a firm believer in not making new years resolutions. To me, it makes the actual task more important than the end result. I have no resolution this year, but i do yearn to have a business open by the end of the year. In the weeks to come, you will be able to read about my journey, im hoping that you will have some information or comments to help me along.
Lifes not a bitch, lifes a beautiful woman. You only call her a bitch cuz she won’t let you get that pussy. Or maybe she felt y’all didn’t share any similar interests. Or maybe your a asshole who couldn’t sweet talk the princess.
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
This is me and my girlfriend Elizabeth Hawkins-Mahaulu.
